		<description>1. Equivalent Volumes

The thesis advocates for equivalent volumes that flatt en the hierarchy of civic and cultural spaces. Designed volumes interact and negotiate boundaries, diminishing individual qualities in favor of combined characteristics and configurations.

The project is a Philharmonic Hall located in Prague. As part of a larger development, the site, a new cultural center located along the Vltava River, extends the cultural and historic center while connecting to existing and new transportation infrastructure. The project lands in between these conditions and off ers significant opportunities to test the thesis, including internal program and urban planning. By having three off -centered massing and figural plazas, it creates more edges for the city to interface with diff erent programs.

<description>2. Relaxed Object in the City

Museum is to house an accumulation of curated works either to juxtapose diff erences or to help viewers discover similarities among irrelevant objects. What if we see museum itself as an accumulation of spatial characteristics that not only for visitors to appreciate purely, but also to enhance the spatial experience of viewing currated elements?
By studying and reimagining the mechanics and rigid quality of an old-fashioned convertible furniture and the over-relaxed quality of the physical model, this project is to create a multi-story museum that contains diversified spaces and threshold conditions. Visitors will move through highly organized Stacked Tower, congested spaces that nested between “soft ” lining and rigid structures, and galleries in diff erent atmospheres.

		<description>3. Biodynamic Incubator &#38;nbsp;

Sunrise Farm is an architectural experiment of a small human sett lement where people can repurpose lives through collective working, learning, and play in a local community form. It promotes the concept of circular economics, slow movement, slow eating, and harmonious relationships between humans and nature.

As one of the production facilities on this 135-acre farm, this project aims to increase the resilience of the farm ecosystem and social resilience in order to be stable and biodynamic. The circular and interlocking program organization enables diff erent programs to benefit from each other through byproducts. It also allows visitors and farmworkers to bump into each other and have natural conversations such that they gain diverse knowledge from each other. Thus, the place becomes an incubator of various products in a circular economy manner for the farm and a learning hub that creates polymaths.

<description>4. Segmental Linear Bar by the River

A major European engineering, manufacturing, and construction company, Prefa Aluminum, is located 80 km southwest of Vienna in the town of Marktl. The company intends to build the Prefa Academy above an existing on-grade parking lot site situated between the main highway to and from Vienna, and the Traisen River that flows just east of the site.As two dominant behaviors of the project, rotation and splitt ing transformed the prevailing typology ( a long bar) into five smaller “chunks.” Thus, they speak to the context of this rural aluminum manufacturing town with few single-family houses. Breaking down the project’s totality implicitly reveals program organization and circulation. The wireframe evolved from the symptom of diplopia, emphasizing the rotation’s eccentricity and functions as vertical gardens.

In 2018, the CCA (Central City Association) of Los Angeles produced a White Paper for the advocacy of micro-units in downtown. It allows a possibility of higher unit density with less or even no parking facility if the property is close to public transits. It makes me reconsider the purpose for people to live in a micro unit housing. What do they really seek in this lifestyle when the expensive rent leads to inequitably compact floor layouts? What’s the image of a highrise micro unit complex sitt ing in the middle of Chinatown Los Angeles?By collecting and displaying volumetric objects in stacked cubic shelvings formally, I established a relationship across architecture at diff erent scales: individual units, objects contained in one cube (a cluster of units), and a Nine Patch (a cluster of 9 cubes). The spatial interrelation provides both absolute privacy from diff erent cubes, and moderate connections among units that within the same cube.

Flatland is a word that created by Edwin A. Abbott , depicts the Romance of Many Dimensions in one space and the flatt ening of objects qualities. The project is built on top of Louis Vuitt on Women’s

Spring-summer Runway 2021, proposing a mixed-reality

fashion experience that is equally accessible to

everyone. The mix reality is the juxtaposition of the

mechanically dynamic space, the virtual contents

that visitors can interact with, and the urban context

of Paris. The building’s role is a machine that allows

sophisticated mechanical systems collaborate

real-time technologies, together to create an mixed

reality visiting and shopping experience at this Louis

Vuitt on metaverse Headquarter (former La Samaritaine). The final product of the project is a film that leads

audience from the city through the indigested back

of house, to the glamorous runway space. It confronts

the Fashion Classism and the issue of accessibility

to progressive technologies.

		<description>8. Handrail Detail

The handrail of Eric Owen Moss’s Lawson-Westen House is located at the bott om of the vertical funnel, one of the major ordering devices in the building’s circulation system. As in an extraordinarily complex geometric feat, our approach to the new handrail takes on more of the presentation and services of a more extensive understanding of the building than the original simple form of the handrail.Inspired by the chunkiness and heaviness of the main entrance door and beams, we continued the game by playing with the solid and void with wood and steel. The elaborately designed furniture brings more ways to treat similar forms diff erently on the smaller scale of the handrail detail. The contrast between hard and soft materials is most pronounced in the connection, with various kinds of metal off set by the tactile richness of the wooden chunk.

		<description>9. Hyperloop Desert
Campus

Humans have been trying to read, translate, and represent nature in all diff erent ways. The topgraphic map is one imaginary method to represent nature in a logical and containable way. It comes from nature and represents humans’ understanding of nature.Hyperloop Desert Campus is composed of three super components. The major one is TOPO, which is built based on the topographic map extracted from Tucki Wash in the heart of Death Valley. The other two super components, CAESARS and PALAZZO, are designed by referencing the profile of two wellknown resorts, The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort and Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. They are rotated 90 degrees and inserted into TOPO as if they grow out of it. Instead of growing vertically, they protrude from TOPO horizontally, expressing the idea of living and developing with nature instead of one taking over the other.
