12. Constantinos Doxiadis’
Informational Modernism:
The Machine at the
Heart of Man
This is an exhibition that draws materials from the Constantinos A. Doxiadis Archives and researches related to contemporary Athens, in order to show contemporary ideas of interrelations among data, space, and people. It traces the history back to DACC—the Doxiadis Associates Computer Center; and then exhibites the present computational practices, including state border management systems. territorial spread of city, technical administration, etc.
In assisting the project, I conducted researches about DACC, particularly the UNIVAC 1107 computer; reconstructed UNIVAC 1107 in the form of 3d model and diagram in collaboration with Steven Liu; conducted researches and 3d modeled multiple state border control rooms; performed a detailed 3d modeling of the Hamilton Jet HM422 patrol boat.
